As an aspiring plus size specialty model, I am faced with the lack of opportunities in the New England area. Although I am dedicated to continue pursuing and reaching my goals...which means frequently traveling to the south, NY, NJ and PA -- not all aspiring models in the Boston area have the circumstances or resources to do so.

This is in part because....well, frankly Boston is slow. People...you know what I'm talking 'bout. Also, due to this regions small, narrow-minded definition of what beauty, plus size women are left out of it's fashion arena. Boston can take the example of NY, NJ, PA, and the southern states as to how their plus size women are accepted and yes, even embraced.

It is my goal to attract the attention of plus size designers to the New England area. I mean, Boston has beautiful plus size women that could be getting those Apple Bottom, Monif C, Torrid, Skortch, Lane Bryant and Ashley Stewart gigs. Thus, I founded Plus Productions Inc.

PLUS PRODUCTIONS & EVENTS INCORPORATED
A promotions and events coordination company that focuses on enhancing the lifestyle (i.e. creating nightlife choices) of plus size individuals. Plus Productions & Events Incorporated endeavors to create opportunities for the XXXL community to gather together in a size-acceptance atmosphere; to enjoy the good company of admirers and like-bodied persons; and very importantly TO PARTY LIKE A ROCK STAR! PPI provides opportunities such as fashion shows so we plus size women can show off our "RUNWAY" ...get these gorgeous women the exposure and attention they so rightly deserve.

ZAFTIG ZONE
A membership-based networking and mentoring sisterhood which focuses on the lifestyle and challenges that face the plus sized woman. All women are welcome, however, plus size women will feel that this organization is home - addressing specifice concerns.
Members (The Zaftig Cartell) are encouraged to reach out to their sister Zaftigs in order to build positive, loving, and encouraging relationships. The membership will foster a mentoring, familial-like atmosphere where goods and services, professional advice, and friendship are shared freely. Each member will give a portion of her time and share a specified amount of her resources (legal advice, massage, nutrition instruction, etc.) Also available will be discounted gym memberships, spa packages and various salon services. ZAFTIG ZONE will periodically sponsor road trips and retreats dedicated to the personal growth and healing of our members. Additionally, women will have the opportunity to associate with positive, like-minded women, to be uplifted and encouraged internally, and to become apart of a life-long sisterhood.
